 Mike Herrington - Head CoachCoach Herrington begins his seventeenth year as Head Football Coach at Hart High School. In sixteen seasons under Herrington, the Indians have compiled fourteen Foothill League Championships (1989, 1991-03), six CIF Championships (1995, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 & 2003), and were CIF runners-up in 1994 and 2002. Coach Herrington's career record is 184-37, which includes a one-year stint as head coach at Bellflower High School in 1988. Coach Herrington began his coaching career at Hart High School in 1980 and was an assistant coach until 1987. During those eight seasons, he was involved in five league championships and two CIF Championships (1983, 1986). Coach Herrington has resided in Newhall most of his live and is an alumnus of Hart High. He attended and played offensive line for two seasons at College of the Canyons and two seasons at CSUN. Coach Herrington teaches Physical Education and Health at Hart and is also the Athletic Director. |

 Rick Herrington - Defensive CoordinatorCoach Rick Herrington enters his seventeenth year as Hart's Defensive Coordinator. In his twenty-eight years of coaching, Rick has had success on every level he has coached, including four consecutive undefeated seasons (40-0) in the mid 80's. In the past thirteen years, Rick has developed twenty-seven All-League linebackers and at least one All-CIF linebacker in 10 out of 11 seasons. A Hart graduate, Rick attended College of the Canyons and graduated from CSUN. He teaches Special Eduacation at Hart. Rick's wife, Jamie teaches at Bowman High. Rick and Jamie are the proud parents of their six year-old daughter, Kasey, and four year-old son, Todd. |

 Davis Delmatoff - Offensive CoordinatorCoach Delmatoff enters his sixthseason on the varsity staff and his fifth as offensive coordinator. In 2000, Davis assisted with the receivers and defensive backs. Previously, Davis coached at Alemany High School for three seasons where he was the offensive coordinator. He began his coaching career as an assistant on Hart's J.V. team in 1996. Davis was an All-CIF QB at Hart in 1992. He played QB at Pierce and Valley Colleges. Davis also played baseball at Hart. |

 John Ahart - Assistant CoachJohn Ahart begins his twelfth season as athletic trainer and coach for the Hart Football Program. John has also served a Hart's Girls' Head Track Coach for three years, winning two Foothill League titles. Coach Ahart has also coached tennis and soccer at Hart. John works with the offensive and defensive lines. Coach Ahart is an award winning science teacher. He has earned degrees from the University of South Dakota and the University of LaVerne. John and his wife Tracey, an elementary school teacher, live in Valencia. They are the proud parents of three year-old Joseph. |

 Keith Matkin - Assistant CoachCoach Matkin begins his fifth season on the varsity staff. He will work with the offensive and defensive lines. Keith coached defensive line at C.O.C. in 1999 and previously coached at Alemany High School in '97 and '98. He had two stints coachng lower levels at Hart in '93 and '96. Keith played defensive line for the Indians in '91 and '92. Also played varsity volleyball at Hart. He played two seasons at Los Angeles Valley College. Keith is currently working as an instructional assistant at Rancho Pico J.H.S. Keith lives in Valencia, and enjoys golf in his spare time. |

 Jason d'Autremont - Assistant CoachCoach d'Autremont enters his fourth year on the Hart staff. He will coach special teams, receiver/defensive backs. Jason was an All-CIF wide receiver at San Luis Obispo High School. He also played basketball and baseball. In 1998, he went to U.S.C. where he played wide receiver. He transferred to College of the Canyons and played two years; earning All-State wide receiver honors in 2000. Coach "D" has a degree in business administration from C.S.U.N. This fall, he will begin teaching special education at Hart. Jason and his wife, Tessa live in Valencia. |

 Larry Fiscus - Coach/Equipment ManagerLarry has been the most important man in the Hart athletic program for the past thirty years. He began his career as a manager while a student at Hart in the early 1970's. Larry also handles the equipment and operates the score boards for other sports on campus. In addition, he helps the varsity baseball team. Larry also works for Hart's ASB. He is also a regular contributor to the College of the Canyons athletic programs. Larry is also owner of nine CIF Championship rings (8 for football and 1 for baseball). Larry lives in Saugus. |
